Supreme Scapes Frequently Asked Questions

Whether you're considering a new outdoor project, scheduling seasonal maintenance, ordering firewood, or already have work scheduled with Supreme Scapes, we've answered the questions our customers ask most often.

General Questions

  • Supreme Scapes provides a range of outdoor services for home/business owners throughout the Cincinnati area, including lawn and landscape maintenance, seasonal cleanups, leaf removal, mulch installation, hardscaping and outdoor living projects, and firewood delivery. Service availability may vary by season and location.

  • We serve homeowners throughout the Greater Cincinnati area and surrounding communities. Because service availability can vary depending on the type of project, we recommend checking our Service Area page or contacting our team to confirm service at your address.

  • You don't have to know exactly what service to request before contacting us. Tell us what's happening with your property, what you'd like to improve, or what result you're hoping to achieve, and our team can help determine the right service for your needs.

  • We focus primarily on residential outdoor services and property improvements. If you have a commercial property or a unique project, contact our team, and we can let you know whether it falls within our current service capabilities.

  • You can request an estimate through our website or contact our team directly. Providing as much information as possible about the property, service, and project will help us better understand what you're looking for before we connect with you.

  • Minimums may vary by service, location, and scope of work. If you're unsure whether your project is a fit, reach out, and our team can quickly confirm.

  • Our team works to respond to new inquiries as quickly as possible. Response times may vary during peak landscaping, cleanup, and firewood seasons, when demand is highest.

  • Not always. Some properties or services can be evaluated without you being present, while larger or more detailed projects may benefit from an on-site conversation. Our team will let you know what is needed when your estimate is scheduled.

  • Yes. Photos can be very helpful, especially when you're trying to explain an area of concern, an existing landscape feature, or the type of project you're considering. Depending on the project, an on-site visit may still be needed before final pricing can be provided.

  • Financing options may be available for qualifying outdoor projects. If financing would make it easier to move forward with your project, ask our team about the options currently available.

Estimates, Pricing, & Scheduling

  • Yes, estimates are complimentary. However, we do charge a design fee for more detailed projects. Estimate requirements may depend on the project type and complexity. When you contact us, our team can explain the estimate process and let you know whether an on-site consultation is needed.

  • Pricing can depend on the size of the property, amount of labor required, materials selected, site access, existing conditions, project complexity, and overall scope of work. Two projects that look similar at first can require very different amounts of preparation and labor.

  • For some straightforward services, we can provide general pricing information. For larger landscape or hardscape projects, we usually need an on-site evaluation before we can provide an accurate estimate.

  • Estimate validity can vary depending on the project and current material pricing. Your estimate will include the applicable details, and our team can answer any questions before you approve the work.

  • Deposit requirements depend on the project type and size. If a deposit is required, we'll explain it clearly before you sign or approve your project.

  • Available payment methods may vary by service. Our team will provide payment details as part of the estimate, scheduling, or project process.

  • Financing may be available for qualifying projects. If you're considering a larger outdoor improvement and would prefer to spread the cost over time, ask our team about current financing options.

  • Scheduling changes throughout the year and depends heavily on the service. Seasonal services such as fall cleanup and firewood can fill quickly, while larger outdoor projects may require more advance planning. Contact us for the most current availability.

  • Project length depends on the size and complexity of the work. Smaller maintenance projects may be completed quickly, while hardscaping and outdoor living projects may take multiple days or longer. We will provide a better idea of the expected timeline once the scope of work is established.

  • Outdoor work is naturally affected by weather. Heavy rain, storms, extreme temperatures, or unsafe site conditions may require schedule adjustments. If weather impacts your project, our team will communicate any changes as soon as possible.

  • Possibly. Changes depend on the project stage, materials already ordered, scheduling, and the additional work requested. Contact us as early as possible if you'd like to make a change so we can review your options.

  • Once you approve your estimate, our team will confirm the next steps, which may include scheduling, deposits, material selections, site preparation, and other project-specific details. You'll know what to expect before work begins.

Service Specific Questions

LawnCare & Property Maintenance

Fall Cleanup & Leaf Removal

  • Yes, we may offer recurring lawn and property maintenance within our service area. Availability can depend on location, property needs, and the current mowing route.

  • Mowing service generally focuses on keeping the lawn consistently maintained throughout the growing season. Your agreement or service proposal will include exact service details so you know what is covered.

  • Service terms may vary by program and time of year. Our team can explain the current mowing and maintenance options available when you request service.

  • Rain can affect mowing schedules and lawn conditions. If the lawn is too wet to service safely or without causing damage, we may adjust the schedule until conditions improve.

  • Yes. You don't need an existing Supreme Scapes landscape project to inquire about maintenance services.

  • Fall cleanup prepares your property for the colder months. Depending on the service selected, this may include leaf removal, clearing landscape beds, removing seasonal debris, and general property cleanup.

  • Leaf removal focuses specifically on removing fallen leaves from the property. A fall cleanup may be more comprehensive and can include additional cleanup of landscape beds, seasonal debris, and other areas around the property.

  • Leaf and debris removal options depend on the service selected. We will explain what is included before we schedule your cleanup.

  • Yes. You can inquire about seasonal cleanup and leaf removal even if you are not currently a mowing customer. Availability may depend on location and seasonal scheduling.

  • That depends on the number and type of trees around the property, weather conditions, and how quickly leaves accumulate. Properties with heavy tree coverage may benefit from multiple cleanups throughout the season.

  • A heavy layer of leaves can trap moisture, block sunlight, and prevent air from reaching the lawn. Removing excess leaves helps the lawn enter winter in better condition and makes spring cleanup easier.

  • A mower can mulch a light layer of leaves, but heavy leaf coverage can prevent the lawn from looking clean and properly maintained. If leaves have accumulated faster than they can be mulched effectively, leaf removal may be needed before or alongside mowing.

Mulch & Landscape Maintenance

  • Mulch installation typically involves applying fresh mulch to designated landscape beds. Depending on the project, you may need to prepare beds, add edging, remove weeds, and do other cleanup before installation.

  • Not every property needs old mulch removed. Our team can evaluate the condition and depth of the existing mulch and recommend the best approach for your landscape beds.

  • The amount depends on your bed size and the mulch depth you need. We can calculate the appropriate amount as part of your estimate.

  • Mulch options may vary depending on current availability and the look you're trying to achieve. Our team can review available options with you before installation.

  • Yes. If your beds need cleanup, edging, weed removal, or other prep before installing mulch, we can discuss those services as part of the project.

  • Mulch can be installed at different times of the year, but spring and fall are especially popular. The best timing depends on your landscape goals, existing beds, and seasonal conditions.

Hardscaping & Outdoor Living

  • Supreme Scapes works on outdoor living and hardscape projects such as patios, walkways, retaining walls, fire features, and other landscape improvements. Contact us with your ideas and we can help determine whether the project fits our capabilities.

  • Yes, these are examples of the types of projects our hardscape and outdoor living services may include. The exact design and materials will depend on your property, goals, and budget.

  • Yes. You don't need to have every detail figured out before contacting us. We can discuss your goals, how you want to use the space, and potential design options during the planning process.

  • No. In fact, contacting us earlier in the process can help you understand what may be possible before you invest too much time in a specific design.

  • It depends on the project's size and complexity. A straightforward patio may take significantly less time than a larger outdoor living project involving multiple features. Once the design and scope are finalized, we can provide a clearer timeline.

  • Some outdoor projects may require permits or approvals depending on the scope and municipality. We will discuss any known requirements during planning.

  • Material options vary by project and may include pavers, stone, wall systems, and other outdoor materials. We'll help you choose options that fit the design, property, and budget.

  • Yes. You can often remove, repair, replace, or redesign existing hardscape features, depending on their condition and your goals for the property.

  • Financing options may be available for qualifying projects. Ask our team about current financing options during the estimate process.

  • The earlier, the better. Design decisions, material selections, estimates, scheduling, and possible permitting can all take time. Starting the conversation early gives you more flexibility with the project timeline.

Firewood

  • Available firewood types may vary throughout the season. You can find current options on our firewood ordering page or confirm them with our team.

  • We provide firewood intended for burning, but moisture levels and availability can vary by product and time of year. If you have a specific requirement for your fireplace, wood stove, or outdoor fire feature, contact us before ordering.

  • Yes. Firewood delivery is available within designated delivery areas.

  • Delivery availability depends on your location. Enter your delivery information when ordering, or contact our team to confirm whether your address is within the current delivery area.

  • Order sizes depend on current inventory and available firewood products. We will list available quantities when you order. Currently, we offer wood in these sizes: 1/6 cord, 1/3 cord, ½ cord, 1 cord stacked, or 1 cord dumped

  • A full cord is a standard measurement equal to 128 cubic feet of stacked firewood, traditionally measuring about 4 ft. high, 4 ft. deep, and 8 ft. long.

  • Stacking options may be available depending on the order and delivery location. Review current ordering options or ask our team when you place your order.

  • Firewood rack options may be available through current seasonal promotions or ordering options. Contact us or check the current firewood page to see what's available.

  • Delivery access needs to be safe and practical for our team and equipment. When ordering, let us know where you'd like the firewood placed, and we'll confirm whether that location is accessible.

  • Store firewood off the ground in a location with good airflow and protection from excessive moisture. Keeping the wood covered from above while allowing the sides to breathe can help it stay in better condition.

  • We recommend ordering before you are completely out. Demand can increase quickly during colder weather, especially heading into weekends and winter weather events.

Before Your Project Starts

  • Preparation depends on the project. In general, removing personal items, toys, furniture, vehicles, and other obstacles from the work area can help the crew get started efficiently. We'll provide any project-specific instructions before work begins.

  • Please let us know about irrigation systems, invisible fences, private utilities, drainage systems, or other underground features that may not be visible. Providing this information before work begins can help avoid unnecessary damage.

  • For everyone's safety, keep pets away from active work areas and equipment. If the project affects a fenced area, keep your pets secured elsewhere while gates are open or work is underway.

  • Some projects require access to equipment, materials, or crews. We'll review access needs before the project begins so you know what to expect.

  • Certain projects or material deliveries may temporarily affect access to part of the driveway or curb area. If we expect this, we'll discuss it with you before or during the project.

  • Material placement depends on available space, accessibility, and the type of material being delivered. Our team will coordinate the best location with you when needed.

  • Yes, move anything that could interfere with the work area beforehand, if possible. This protects your belongings and helps our crew work more efficiently.

  • Utility marking requirements depend on the project. If you need public utility marking, our team can explain what must happen before work begins. You should also tell us about any private lines or systems that public utility marking may not identify.

  • Use the contact information the Supreme Scapes team provided for your project. If you're unsure who to contact, reach out to our main office, and we'll make sure your question gets to the right person.

  • Your point of contact may vary by project and service. We'll let you know who to contact for questions, changes, or concerns once your project is scheduled.

  • Outdoor projects can sometimes uncover conditions that were not visible beforehand, such as drainage issues, buried materials, unstable soil, or hidden damage. If something unexpected affects the scope of work, we'll discuss the issue and your options before moving forward with additional work.

  • Changes may be possible, but they can affect price, materials, and the project timeline. Discuss any requested changes with our team before we do any additional work.

  • Yes. Our goal is to leave the work area clean and presentable when the agreed-upon work is complete. The exact level of cleanup may depend on the type of service or project.

  • For larger projects, our team may review the completed work with you and address any final questions. This is also a good opportunity to discuss care instructions or anything you should watch for after installation.

  • Payment timing depends on the service and project agreement. Your estimate, contract, or project paperwork will explain when payments are due.

  • Contact us as soon as possible and explain what you're seeing. Photos can also be helpful. Our team can review the concern and determine the appropriate next step.

  • Warranty coverage depends on the work type, materials used, and project agreement. We will explain any applicable warranty information as part of your project documentation.

  • Care instructions depend on what was installed. Plants, lawns, mulch, patios, and other outdoor features can all have different maintenance needs. Ask our team for care recommendations specific to your project.

  • In many cases, yes. If you'd like ongoing lawn or landscape maintenance after a project, ask about the services available in your area.
